Overclocker Digg_de claimed two world records with the Intel Core i3-6100 in HWBOT x265 (1080p and 4K), largely due to aggressive RAM overclocking.
German overclocker Digg_de has added two gold medals to his collection in the two-core, four-thread Intel Core i3-6100 processor category.
Both records were achieved using the same benchmark but fall under two distinct categories: HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 1080p and HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k. In both runs, the Core i3-6100 chip was pushed to 3801MHz. However, for the 1080p score, Digg_de managed to stabilize the DDR4 RAM at 3972MHz, while the 4K run required reducing the RAM speed to 3836MHz.
Crucially, aggressive RAM overclocking to around 3900MHz played a significant role in achieving these records. The Core i3-6100's processor overclock, however, is essentially identical to the scores set by previous record holders Jokot and avalanche.
The German's test bench included the following components:
Motherboard - ASUS Maximus VIII Impact
Cooling system - PCO
RAM - 2x 8GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaws V F4-3600C17-8GVK
Power supply - Seasonic Platinum 1200 watt
