⤢ ВІДКРИТИBeyond the achievement itself, there isn't much special about this "gold" medal, as only two overclockers compete in the Core i7-9700KF leaderboard: shar00750 and previous record holder noppon1412. Still, the CPU's clock speed is impressively high, and setting frequency records is generally tough these days.
Notably, 5 out of 8 CPU cores were disabled for this overclock. It's hard to say if this method is entirely legitimate, but it is what it is.
The test bench included the following components:
Motherboard - Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI APEX (BIOS version 0093 (18.03.2019))
RAM - 2x 8GB Team Group Inc. (DDR4-2137) P/N: TEAMGROUP-UD4-3200
Graphics card - GIGABYTE GeForce GT 1030
SSD - KINGSTON SV300S37A60G (FW: 505ABBF1)
Operating system - Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (0x4F) 64-bit

One 😁 I got it via RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization — returning faulty or defective products to the manufacturer for refund, repair, or credit) as a replacement for an 8700K that died.
So, after some failed experiments, the Core i7-8700K processor died, and Intel sent a Core i7-9700KF as a replacement.
