Puerto Rican overclocker chispy has set a new record for the 16-thread Intel Core i9-10900K in the relatively niche PCMark10 Express benchmark.
As you might have guessed, the CPU is the main driver for high scores in this benchmark. However, RAM speed also heavily impacts the final results.
Using phase-change cooling, the enthusiast pushed the Core i9-10900K to a relatively modest (by extreme overclocking standards) 5826 MHz. The G.SKILL Trident Z NEO RAM kit relied on stock heatsinks and reached 4620 MHz. This overclock enabled chispy to complete the PCMark10 Express benchmark with a score of 7,956 points:
In addition to the CPU and RAM, the test bench featured the following hardware:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XII Apex;
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 290X (GPU overclocked to 1225 MHz (+22.50% over stock) / GDDR5 to 6260 MHz (+25.20% over stock));
Power supply: 1600W SuperNOVA G2.
