TAGG sets a series of rank records for the Intel Pentium E2140 dual-core chip

The Austrian overclocker TAGG distinguished himself with a whole series of pretty good results obtained on an overclocked Intel Pentium E2140 processor.
The CPU used by the enthusiast is designed for the LGA 775 platform, and its base frequency is only 1600MHz. And the last characteristic of the chip is extremely important because as a result of its bench session, TAGG was able to overclock the E2140 to an incredible 4320 MHz, which is an impressive 170% higher than the base! Moreover, operating at such a high frequency, the CPU remained stable enough to pass several very resource-intensive benchmarks such as wPrime – 1024m, PiFast, Cinebench – R11.5, and Cinebench – R15:

DIsciplineResultBase frequency
wPrime – 1024m9min 58sec 187ms4320MHz
PiFast22sec 800ms4320MHz
Cinebench – R11.52.35 балла4320MHz
Cinebench – R15198 баллов4320MHz

The test setup of the Austrian consisted of an ASUS Rampage Extreme motherboard, two 2GB Corsair Dominator GTX2 memory sticks, and a 1200-watt power supply of the same Corsair company.
