Just a day ago, we reported that a quality sample of the Intel Core i9-9900KS processor can be purchased for $1199. For this money, you will get a chip that can operate stably at 5200MHz for all eight cores. And today rumors leaked out about the price of the 32-core, 64-thread AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X processor.
The Vietnamese store tinhocdaiviet has estimated the yet-to-be-released CPU at 30,000,000 (Vietnamese dong), which is roughly equivalent to the US $1200. The younger, 24-core, 56-thread Threadripper 3960X will cost slightly less at $999.
According to the leaked information, more powerful processors are likely to be expected. Indirectly, this is hinted at by the price of the 32-core chip. AMD will have to provide a CPU under $ 2,000. It is quite possible that the 64-core 3990X previously featured in the leaks will become exactly this.
However, AMD will most likely limit itself to 48 cores, 96 threads for its current high-end platform. Time will tell.
Recall that the new CPUs will receive an updated sTRX4 connector and new TRX40, TRX80 and WRX80 chipsets.
The release of processors is scheduled for the second half of November 2019, so there will be more and more information leaks every day.
