Ubisoft releases system requirements for Far Cry 6

Ubisoft has shared on its Twitter account the system requirements for the upcoming sixth installment of its popular Far Cry franchise.

The next chapter of the action shooter will get support for ray tracing and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution image scaling technology. In addition, the game will have an unlocked frame rate and access to fine graphics settings.

Far Cry 6 detailed system requirements:

1080p, 30 fps, no ray tracing

  • processor: Intel Core i5-4460 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200;
  • RAM: 8Gb;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB / AMD Radeon RX 460 4GB;
  • hard drive: 60GB available storage (SSD recommended).

1080p, 60 fps, no ray tracing

  • processor: Intel Core i7-7700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X;
  • RAM: 16Gb;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD Radeon RX Vega 64;
  • hard drive: 60GB available storage (SSD recommended).

1440p, 60 fps, no ray tracing

  • processor: Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X;
  • RAM: 16Gb;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT;
  • hard drive: 60GB available storage (SSD recommended) for the game and 37Gb for HD textures (optional).

1440p 60 fps ray traced

  • processor: Intel Core i5-10600 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X;
  • RAM: 16Gb;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 / AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT;
  • hard drive: 60GB available storage (SSD recommended) for the game and 37Gb for HD textures (optional).

4K (2160p), 30 fps, ray traced

  • processor: Intel Core i7-10700K / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X;
  • RAM: 16Gb;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / AMD Radeon RX 6800;
  • hard drive: 60GB available storage (SSD recommended) for the game and 37Gb for HD textures (optional).

It is rather strange that the developers set the bar so high for a game with ray tracing enabled at 1440p (GeForce RTX 3070 / AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT) and at the same time did not tell what video card would be needed for “popular” 1080p.

Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7th and will be available on all current platforms (for PC, these are Ubisoft Connect and EGS).
