The Last of Us: Part II was sold over 4 million copies

According to information provided by SONY, the exclusive The Last of Us: Part II was sold over 4 million copies in the first 72 hours of release.

It should be clarified that this is an absolute record among exclusive projects for the PlayStation 4 console – the previous record belonged to the game “Spider-Man”, which sold 3.3 million copies during the same time.

Neil Druckmann, writer and creative director of The Last of Us: Part II, thanked the players and noted that it took years of hard work of hundreds of professionals to create such a voluminous game.

Recall that the game The Last of Us: Part II at the start of sales received very laudatory reviews from critics, however, gamers were more restrained in their assessment:

At the moment, the user rating of the game on the Metacritic website is at 4.6, while the rating of critics is over 90.
