Our colleagues from the VideoCardz website shared the first leaks about the performance results of the GeForce RTX 3080 in real games and applications. Exactly as NVIDIA stated, the GeForce RTX 3080 is indeed significantly superior to the previous top GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
In the games tested, the difference in performance reaches 25%, and if compared with the RTX 2080 Super, then up to 40%:
Nevertheless, as you probably already guessed, this is still not the “two-fold” advantage of the GeForce RTX 3080 over the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, which was mentioned by the permanent leader of the “green giant” Jensen Huang. It is obvious that making final conclusions on tests in two games and one benchmark is simply stupid, but the alarm bell has already sounded. Perhaps the more serious superiority of the GeForce RTX 3080 will be noticeable in other projects, or with ray tracing enabled?
Fortunately, we will find out the answer to this question very soon, because there are only two days left before the lifting of the embargo on the publication of materials about the performance of the GeForce RTX 3080 video card from independent sources.
