The Israeli overclocker Shar00750 has once again outperformed its American counterpart Splave and once again won the 3DMark11 – Performance benchmarking of three Radeon R9 Fury X graphics cards. To be fair, it should be noted that Splave uses pre-obtained results during a long bench session, while Shar00750, in turn, catches up with its opponent in real time (after the American published the result). However, this is quite a normal situation, because Splave is a much more famous and wealthy enthusiast who is able to consume much more of the same liquid nitrogen at a time, which makes his bench session more productive.
It’s also worth noting that the enthusiast managed to become the first in the overall rank among any three graphics cards of the same 3DMark11 – Performance discipline.
However, as we’ve said many times before, things are not so simple and unambiguous in the old 3DMark. In fact, the main lever for achieving such high results is the CPU.
In this case, the Intel Core i9-13900K chip overclocked to an impressive 7600MHz (+153.33% over base frequencies) was chosen as the basis of the test bench, but the trio of Radeon Fury X video cards was overclocked relatively weakly: 1150MHz (+9.52% to the GPU) and 531MHz (+6.2% to the HBM memory).
Frankly speaking, this is only the beginning of the rivalry between overclockers and it is highly likely that Splave will not ignore this result, so the American will try to strike back in the near future to regain the lead in the overall and current ranks of the three Radeon R9 Fury X graphics cards.
