AMD today officially announced the updated line of Ryzen 3000XT processors, codenamed Matisse Refresh. Most notably, in fact, AMD now offers more powerful CPUs for the same price. Indeed, with the release of Ryzen 3000XT processors, Ryzen 3000X chips are getting a little cheaper, and newcomers, in turn, occupy their niche!

However, there is one peculiarity in the new processors: unfortunately, Matisse Refresh will not receive an increase in the base frequency. But the maximum speed of processors will still grow. However, not as predicted earlier:

No gain at 300-400 MHz

As a result, the only processor that received a significant increase in frequency was the not very popular Ryzen 7 3800XT chip. But the budget Ryzen 5 3600XT outperforms its younger brother Ryzen 5 3600X by only a measly 100 MHz!

At the moment, it is difficult to say how much these CPUs were generally needed by the current market. But it is obvious that the final conclusions can be drawn only after testing and overclocking the Matisse Refresh processors.

By the way, all new processors are devoid of box cooling, and AMD itself recommends using super tower coolers or liquid cooling systems in tandem with Matisse Refresh chips.

Apparently, an increase of 100-200 MHz allowed AMD to distribute new CPUs without cooler.
