For starters, it should be noted that 100% proof that this is indeed a 24-thread representative of the Zen 3 generation is practically non-existent. With the exception of the processor identifier “100-000000061-08” which has been assigned to Ryzen 5000 chips since last week. Therefore, you should not rely entirely on the data below.

Several insiders immediately reported that the 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen 9 5900X processor was tested in the CPU-z utility benchmark, and allegedly scored 652.8 points in a single-threaded test and 9481.8 points in a multi-threaded one. And this is + 20.3% (for a single-threaded test) and + 14.4% (for a multi-threaded) more than the current 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen 9 3900X chip gains!

Unfortunately, the clock speeds and architectural improvements of the tested Zen 3 chip over the Zen 2 variant are still unknown.

According to the information currently available, AMD will officially unveil the Ryzen 5000 series on October 8th. Also, if you rely on the latest rumors, the first processors may appear in stores only from October 20. Thus, on October 8th we will only see the announcement of new CPUs.

In addition, it is already known that the budget 5600X chip and the top 5950X processor will appear much later.
