Recent leaks report that AMD will unveil new budget GPUs for the RX 5600/5500 graphics cards in October.
Apparently, the strategy of introducing the RDNA architecture to all market segments is going according to plan and AMD is preparing to launch new video cards in October this year. This information is based on the PCGamesN report.
The source says that the PCI-IDs identifiers of two unreleased Navi GPUs have been added to the Mesa 19.2 Driver Stack.
The RX 5600 video card is credited with a Navi 14 chip containing 1536 stream processors. The rest of the GPU specifications are currently unknown. Nevertheless, we already know from early leaks that the engineering sample of the video card based on the Navi 14 chip is slightly ahead of the RX 570 in performance.
The RX 5500 video card, according to the source, will be based on the Navi 12 GPU. And if we already know at least something about Navi 14, there is practically no information about Navi 12 at the moment, except, of course, confirmation of its existence.
Given the proximity of the announcement, more and more information should be leaked every day and we will try to keep you updated on new leaks about Navi 12/14 and video cards based on these chips.
