Yesterday some of the specifications of the AMD Navi 21 XT “Big Navi” GPU were leaked. According to early reports, this GPU should become the heart of the top-end Radeon RX 6900 XT video card.

According to insider Patrick Schur, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT will receive a Navi 21 XT “Big Navi” GPU with an incredible 2400MHz gaming frequency, 16GB of GDDR6 video memory, and 255W TGP.

That’s right, there is no mistake in the text, namely TGP. In other words, only the GPU of the upcoming flagship AMD graphics card will consume up to 255 watts. Thus, in theory, TBP (power consumption of the entire video card) can easily exceed 320 watts, since, in addition to the GPU, 16GB of high-frequency video memory of the GDDR6 standard will also be soldered on the board.

It should be noted that this is fairly considerable power consumption, especially considering the fact that the new product from AMD is predicted to be the competitor of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, the TBP of which should not exceed 220 watts.
