The 10th Gen Core X processors came out just yesterday, and the top overclockers are already exploring their potential with might and main and setts record after record with the help of new CPUs.

First of all, we will look at the reported results on the flagship processor of the LGA 2066 platform – Core i9-10980XE.

Let’s start with a Greek overclocker named OGS. For his experiments, the enthusiast chose the discipline HWBOT x265 Benchmark – 4k and was right. As a result, with a processor frequency of 5652 MHz, OGS took first place both in the benchmark rank and for all 18-core CPUs.

The next record holder was predictably the leader of the 2019 ranks, American overclocker Splave. He posted two results at once on the top-end Core i9-10980XE processor.

First, enthusiast took gold in the model and 18-core test of the GPUPI for CPU – 1B benchmark:

And the second secured himself the same first places in the model and 18-core test, but now in the Cinebench – R15 disciplines:

For both records, Splave used an ASRock X299 OC Formula motherboard.

Let’s move on to the records on the younger chips.

Romanian enthusiast Alex@ro armed himself with a 14-core Core i9-10940X processor and took first place in the model and 14-core GPUPI for CPU – 1B:

Alex@ro‘s test setup consisted of an ASUS ROG Rampage VI Encore motherboard, 4 8GB GALAX OC LAB RAM, GeForce GT 1030 video card, and Seasonic 1200 watts power supply.

Well, and finally, a couple of results on the cheapest representative of the updated LGA 2066 platform – Core i9-10900X.

The Greek OGS also had a hand in these records. In the first case, the processor was overclocked to 5924 MHz, which gave the enthusiast first place in the Core i9-10900X rank and second for all 10-core CPUs:

In the second case – up to 5960 MHz, which brought the overclocker superiority not only in the current, but also in the 10-core rank:

In both cases, OGS used an ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME OMEGA motherboard.

It is quite obvious that these results will soon be beaten. However, it is worth noting the fact that the new processors were able to outperform their 9th Gen Core X predecessors. But in fact, these are the same CPUs.

This alignment gives us hope that some of the records that have been established over the past year can finally be broken on the updated LGA 2066 platform.
