A month later, the record of the American overclocker keeph8n was beaten by the French enthusiast Niuulh. Moreover, in this case, superiority turned out to be very significant. If the previous first-place keeph8n was provided with 6214 points, then the Frenchman was able to get 6331 points:

To achieve such serious results Niuulh contributed to the frequency of the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX, which in the end turned out to be significantly higher than that of the opponent’s instance. The French enthusiast was able to raise it to 5230MHz, versus 5045MHz for the keeph8n.

The processor and RAM were cooled with liquid nitrogen, but the liquid itself was only in the container for the CPU. The RAM was content with passive cooling.

Unfortunately, Niuulh did not indicate the components used, and as always we had to peer at the screenshot. We managed to learn a little from it:

  • Motherboard – ASRock X399 Taichi
  • RAM – 4 x 8GB DDR4 bars G.Skill OC World Cup 2019
  • Power supply – Seasonic Prime 1300 watts

Most likely keeph8n, the former gold owner, has already prepared his Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX for further experimentation. But it is possible that the American will have to get hold of a luckier 2970WX to surpass the Frenchman’s current achievement.
