Back in early February, Microsoft canceled several of its events in Singapore, Shanghai, and Taipei. And today, it became known that the Redmond giant decided to cancel the “Microsoft Ignite The Tour” which was supposed to take place in Hong Kong.
The company stated:
“The health and safety of our employees, customers, partners, and suppliers are a top priority.”

Many other Microsoft Ignite events are likely to be canceled soon as global health authorities continue to tackle the potential coronavirus pandemic.
It is worth noting that Microsoft was not the only one to take such measures. For example, Kojima Productions said they would not be participating in GDC 2020, and CD Projekt Red, Capcom, and Square Enix would not be bringing their panels to the PAX East.
