Finnish overclocker Jokot was able to set the record in the ranks of the Intel Core i7-4790K (Devil’s Canyon) chip in the GPUPI for CPU – 100M discipline. Using liquid nitrogen, the processor was overclocked to 6200.2 MHz, and the result was 12 seconds 677 milliseconds:
At the same time, the DDR3 standard RAM operated at a frequency of 2400 MHz with CL8.0 11-8-28 1T timings.
The test setup of the Finnish enthusiast consisted of the following components:
- Motherboard – GIGABYTE G1.Sniper Z87
- RAM – G.SKILL PI, 2 x 2GB
- Power supply – Corsair Professional Series Gold 1200 watt
