Intel is discontinuing three series of its low-power consumer products, according to our colleagues at ComputerBase and VideoCardZ.

The list will include the 10th Gen Intel Core Comet Lake-U series, 10th Gen Core Ice Lake-U, and 11th Gen Lakefield series.

It is known that Intel has already stopped production of the aforementioned CPUs, however, the last shipment of these chips will begin in April 2022. This means that customers can still buy laptops with Ice Lake-U, Comet Lake-U or Lakefield series processors installed on them.

Such a rush on the part of the “blue giant” is justified since the chipmaker needs to free up warehouses for the latest 11th generation of Tiger Lake-U processors with low power consumption.
