The developers of the only working emulator of the PlayStation 3 RPCS3 console have released a new video, in which they reported on significant performance improvements in the second and third parts of the exclusive shooter Killzone, as well as on the elimination of permanent compilation of shaders in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which have significantly spoiled gameplay in the past:
In addition, the authors of the video compared the performance of the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with the Intel Core i9-9900K, where the second came out the winner.
However, the RPCS3 developers did not forget to clarify that at the moment, the emulator is not able to fully use such powerful processors as the Ryzen 9 5950X and the actual performance of the 16-core 32-thread monster from AMD is equal to the simpler 8-core Ryzen 7 chip 5800X.
