Studio-developer of the project “Horizon Zero Dawn” Guerrilla Games has finally released a long-awaited patch that fixes the annoying “crashes” of the game on the desktop. In addition, update 1.02 addresses a number of remaining issues and slightly tweaks the functionality of Horizon Zero Dawn:
- Fixed an issue that resulted in some players having an issue with disabling vertical sync in borderless screen mode;
- Fixed a bug due to which some players experienced desynchronization of facial animations due to blocking the frame rate at 30 frames per second;
- Reduced the amount of memory used when streaming shaders;
- Improved performance during autosave (for example, when completing a quest step);

However, in this patch, the developers have not been able to solve all the currently existing problems in the game. Therefore, in the near future, Guerilla Games will release several more updates designed to fix the remaining shortcomings of the sensational project.
