Apparently, the Italian overclocker GRIFF decided to squeeze the maximum benefit out of the current very difficult situation and devoted his free time to updating the long-established records.
Just a couple of days ago, we wrote that the Italian enthusiast took gold in the ranks for the Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz (Northwood, 200 FSB), and today he won first place in the ranks for the Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz (Prescott) processor in the same discipline wPrime – 32m.
The processor frequency after overclocking was 4725 MHz, with a result of 52 seconds 125 milliseconds:

The Italian’s test setup did not change from the previous bench session and consisted of the same components indicated by the overclocker:
- Motherboard — ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe
- RAM — 1 x 512Mb DDR1 by Corsair, unknown model from XMS line
