Palit Microsystems’ subsidiary, GAINWARD, has finally revealed to the public its own development of GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards based on NVIDIA Ampere architecture.

In total, Gainward introduced four new RTX 3000 models, including the RTX 3090 Phantom “GS,” rt RTX 3090 Phantom, RTX 3080 Phantom “GS”, and RTX 3080 Phantom. The “GS” series (Golden Sample) is characterized by higher clock speeds as well as increased TDP. All four models have the same cooler design, however, are based on different circuit boards.

Table with the characteristics of GeForce RTX 30 Phantom GeForce series Gainward:

ModelCore frequencies in boostTDPAuxiliary power connectors
RTX 3090 Phantom “GS”1845 MHz +8.8%420W +20%3x 8-pin
RTX 3090 Phantom1740 MHz +2.7%370W +5.7%3x 8-pin
RTX 3080 Phantom “GS”1830 MHz +7%370W +15.6%3x 8-pin
RTX 3080 Phantom1755 MHz +2.6%340W +6.3%3x 8-pin

As can be seen from the above table, both top-end “GS” (Golden Sample) models have a significantly increased TDP limit. In the case of RTX3090 to 420 watts and in the case of RTX 3090 to 370 watts. This trick allowed Gainward to increase the GPU clock speed by 8.8% for the RTX 3090 and 7% for the RTX 3080.

Of the other features of the graphics cards, I would like to note the use of standard connectors for additional board power and a massive, three-layer cooling system with a mesh casing, three fans and RGB backlit geForce RTX logo.
