In fact, with the launch of the world’s first consumer 64-core, 128-thread processor, AMD forced new requirements and standards for high-performance PCs.

A monstrous chip is capable of quite a lot, and the classic volumes of RAM in the region of 64-128GB will already be criminally small for it. This is why G.SKILL announced the release of an updated high-capacity RAM kit for the 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor.

A set of 8 Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 modules is characterized by relatively low latencies CL16-20-20-39, a total volume of 256 GB (8 strips of 32 GB each) and a voltage of 1.35 volts.

Thus, after the start of sales of this kit, enthusiasts will be able to assemble truly powerful workstations without compromising with a large amount of slow memory, or a small amount of fast.

Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 256GB has already been tested in G.SKILL lab with 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X processor and ASUS ROG ZENITH II EXTREME ALPHA motherboard:

At the moment, there is nothing special to say about the cost, or the exact date of the start of sales of the high-end set of RAM. However, G.SKILL itself is talking about the release of the kit sometime in the second quarter of 2020. And as for the price – you can be sure that it will not be small.
