The Red Dead Redemption PC Unofficial Remaster project was launched to improve the visuals of Red Dead Redemption on RPCS3 and Xenia emulators. It was far from the release, and now this will not happen at all, since its development has been stopped forever.

Modder DamnedDev confirmed that development of the remaster was halted after Take-Two contacted him and demanded that the entire project be closed.

The goal of the project was to remaster and optimize RDR to make it work and look better on Xenia / RPCS3 emulators on x64 PCs. Console-level platforms and hardware, software compatibility support (e.g. Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

This project, in fact, was just a package with graphical improvements for the game, and not a separate full-fledged restart or remaster. Therefore, Take-Two’s position is not entirely clear.
