Three weeks after his last achievement in the rank of the Core 2 Quad Q9650 processor, the Hungarian overclocker CSZ continued his experiments with the LGA 775 platform and got a gold medal in the rank of the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 chip.
Armed with a small supply of liquid nitrogen, the enthusiast overclocked the 4-core processor to a frequency of 4653.8 MHz, which is quite significant for a 65-nm Kentsfield crystal, thanks to which, as a result, the overclocker was able to successfully complete the relatively difficult benchmark wPrime – 32m with a result of 8 seconds 217 milliseconds:
Unfortunately, the author of the record did not describe in detail the components of his test setup and indicated only the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard (BIOS F10 version), as well as an unknown DDR2 RAM bar, manufactured by OCZ.
