CSZ adds two rank records for the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 chip to its list of achievements

Hungarian overclocker CSZ was able to overclock the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 CPU to a very impressive frequency of 5002 MHz and set two records in the ranks of the processor of the same name in the rather difficult disciplines wPrime – 32m and wPrime – 1024m.

Discipline:Result:Processor frequency:RAM frequency:RAM timings:
wPrime – 32m7sec 223ms5002.49MHz1111,6MHz5-5-5-18-80 2T
wPrime – 1024m3min 49sec 336ms5001.8MHz1111,8MHz5-5-5-18-80 2T

The chip was cooled with liquid nitrogen, and it was accompanied by a top-end motherboard GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P and OCZ Reaper HPC DDR2 RAM.

To the fair question of when the public can expect results in other disciplines, the author of the record answered rather shortly: “Next time.” So, most likely, the Hungarian will soon return to the study of the Core 2 Quad Q9650 processor and break out into new records.
