Our good old and proven insider TUM_APISAK has posted on his Twitter account performance data for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and Ryzen 9 5900X processors.

Both chips were tested in the Geekbench 5 benchmark. Ryzen 9 5950X was installed in the ASUS ROG STRIX X570I Gaming motherboard with 16GB of DDR4-3866 RAM on board. And the Ryzen 9 5900X was installed in an MSI X570 GODLIKE motherboard with 16GB of DDR4-3600 RAM.

Let’s move on to the results:

The 16-core, 32-thread AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor was able to score 1575 points in a single-threaded and 13605 points in a multi-threaded test. At the same time, in full load, the chip worked at a frequency of 4983 MHz and at 5010 MHz in a partial one.

In turn, the 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900X chip scored 1605 points in a single-threaded test and 12,869 points in a multi-threaded test. The processor frequency in a multi-threaded load reached 4947 MHz and up to 4950 MHz in a single-threaded one.

Thus, compared to its predecessors on the Zen 2 architecture, the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor was approximately 20% faster than the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X in single-threaded work and 10% in multi-threaded.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X also did not disappoint and was 20-25% ahead of Ryzen 9 3900X in single-threaded load, nevertheless, at the same time, on average, it turned out to be only 6-8% faster in multi-threaded tests.

Well, if we compare the results obtained with the competitor’s flagship processor, then compared to the Intel Core i9-10900K chip, the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X offers a 15-20% increase in multi-threaded and single-threaded performance, respectively.
