Recent rumors of a six-core Ryzen 5 3500X without SMT support have been confirmed. AMD will soon introduce new budget processors under $160.

If the early leaks of information spoke of only one processor, then in fact there were two of them – Ryzen 5 3500X and Ryzen 5 3500.

They both operate at a base frequency of 3600MHz and 4100MHz at maximum auto acceleration. But do not flatter yourself. If the Ryzen 5 3500X has as much as 32MB of L3 cache, then the version without the “X” prefix, according to the source, will have half as much, that is, 16MB.

It is not yet clear how much this will affect the processor’s performance, but we roughly know how much its price will decrease. If for the Ryzen 5 3500X they will ask for $150, then for the “cut” Ryzen 5 3500 chip about $129. The exact price of the last, unfortunately, is not yet known.
