Yesterday, the first real photo of the AMD Raphael chip (Zen 4 architecture) with the model number Ryzen 7 7700X was published on the AnandTech forum. This is an 8-core, 16-thread processor with a maximum frequency of 5400 MHz and a TDP of 105 watts.
The sample shown in the photo has the OPN code 100-000000593 and the final marking “D”. This clearly hints that this is a pre-release version of the processor and is most likely intended for the press.
According to rumors, retail this model will cost from 299 to 340 dollars. In general, it is comparable to the price of the previous generation 8-core Ryzen 7 5700X. If the Ryzen 7 7700X can beat the truly powerful gaming gem 5800X3D, then that price will be a boon to many gamers.
Recall: the release of the Ryzen 7000 chips was postponed to September 27, so the first reviews will not appear until the 20-30 of the same month.
