Niuulh wins gold in the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 ranks

Niuulh, a French overclocker, is often quite involved in his experiments. Moreover, even titans of the extreme scene could well envy this enthusiast in preparation and skill. You only need to look at Niuulh’s test setup with one eye to make sure that it is not in vain that it is in the top 100 overclockers on the HWBot site.

To begin with, Niuulh used a riser with additional power to connect the video card. This solution allows him to conveniently and rationally arrange the card, after which it is easy to update the liquid nitrogen in the glass installed on it.

In addition, the Frenchman got hold of a rather serious, albeit not very convenient VION multimeter with support for data transmission via Bluetooth. Which also simplifies overclocking hardware to some extent. After all, software monitoring does not always show the actual voltage applied.

But let’s go directly to the record. Armed with an Intel Core i7-9700K processor operating at a frequency of 4698MHz, Niuulh overclocked the GeForce GTX 970 to a frequency of 2140.09MHz on a chip (+ 81.67%) and 6828MHz on a memory (-2.91%, most likely an error in reading data). Thus, the Frenchman secured himself the first place in the video card of the same name ranks with indicators of 21 seconds, 334 milliseconds of the GPUPI – 1B discipline:

Unfortunately, apart from the Seasonic PRIME 1000 watt power supply unit, the enthusiast did not specify other components. Therefore, we can only guess what kind of Mini-ITX the board took onboard Intel Core i7-9700K and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. But most likely, this is the super-popular ASUS ROG Maximus XI Gene. In any case, judging by the photos provided by the Frenchman, the board used is 90% similar to the aforementioned model from ASUS.
