Intel officially unveils 10th generation mobile Core chips

Yesterday, August 1st, Intel unveiled 11 new mobile 10-generation Core processors based on the Sunny Cove microarchitecture and designed specifically for ultra-thin laptops.

The new CPUs bring AI acceleration to the PC, feature the latest Iris Plus graphics, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Thunderbolt 3 support.

In terms of performance, the new Sunny Cove microarchitecture is reported to be up to 18% faster than the existing Skylake per clock cycle.

Considering that Intel hasn’t made any progress in this field since the time of Skylake, this can be called a success. It is not yet possible to say anything more, since, for example, it is rather difficult to judge the frequency potential by mobile chips.

Below is a list of released mobile CPUs:

On the net you can already find a review and testing of a laptop based on one of the new processors. You can get acquainted and draw your own conclusions using this link.
